Teaching experience
I have been working as a tutor since December 2021, teaching students from Year 8 through to Year 12.
I have prepared many students for their graded exams, especially A-level students.
My teaching approach is to build trust with my pupils during the first lesson, developing an understanding of areas of strength and areas requiring further development. I then tend to work towards the exam questions for the topics requiring development. This allows me to focus our time on improving areas that need strengthening. I focus on explaining the theory and underlying concepts for each given topic and spend the rest of the time focussing on previous exam questions. I use a lot of practice to ensure that learning is fully absorbed. and to familiarise students with the exam style and question type. This builds confidence as well as exam craft, which they can then apply in the pressure environment of the exam.
