I tutor for A-level & GCSE Biology, and GCSE maths. I am patient and friendly and wont put pressure on the student to understand things right away. Its important to make mistakes as this is the best way to learn! I focus on exam style questions.

I have been online tutoring at GCSE level since the end of October 2022. I have been a part of a national programme which provides tutoring to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who otherwise would not have access to learning support. I place a big focus on going through exam style questions - I believe that the majority of learning comes from actually doing things which will be required of the student in an exam. This approach allows me to help the student understand how they can gain marks and ensure the best outcome.
I provide a relaxed and friendly environment which encourages students to feel able to speak up when they don understand something. I reassure them that mistakes are actually an opportunity to learn something new and improve their skills.

At the end of my lessons I always discuss how the student found the lesson, to gain a better understanding of what we should cover in subsequent sessions.
