I've recently qualified as a high school math teacher. But before this, I worked in Engineering for around 30 years!

So far, I have taught in 3 high schools. But, currently, I'm teaching at the Skipton Academy in North Yorkshire, UK.

I'm versatile in the ages I teach, as I teach classes from year 7 to year 11. This means I have experience in teaching GCSE-level maths.

My approach to teaching is relaxed, as to learn students must feel comfortable and okay in asking questions to get the most from lessons. I actively encourage learning through mistakes and misconceptions.

As each student is individual, my approach to providing lessons is to allow the student to learn at a speed that suits them. this means that they can fully grasp topics, and masters the various areas of the subject. I like to interleave learning through the different maths topics and also build in long-term memory recall.
