My goal as a tutor is not only to provide my students with the skillset needed to achieve high grades and achieve their academic goals, but also to inspire a genuine interest and curiosity in Music, Drama, and English.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Rugby School I have had success with years nine to twelve in teaching and covering classes in Drama and English and leading co-curricular activities, something I also excelled at during my time as a teacher and workshop facilitator with ASDAN in Shanghai. My academic achievements, with a First Class BA from the Univerisity of Cambridge in Music and a Distinction MA in Theatre Directing from Mountview, are further evidence of my rigour and commitment to learning.

My teaching style is informed by my education in a wide range of arts and humanities. Learning in both practical and theoretical settings has developed my skills as a communicator and will allow me to draw on a wide range of approaches to aid my tutee’s understanding. My multidisciplinary approach can give the student a more detailed and rich grasp of the material that will not only help them to succeed academically, but to spark a real passion for their subject. I believe that this is crucial for success in a subject at undergraduate level also, and I use this to guide my approaches to preparing students for Oxbridge interviews.
