Sabiha

My name is Sabiha and Im currently a Psychology undergraduate at Warwick University! I teach Psychology Sociology, by engaging students with verbal and written strategies for revision. My focus centres around content revisits and exams questions.

I have tutored for over two years now, both at a 6th form and online. I typically tutor kids aged 13-18, at GCSE or A level years in the subjects:
- English Language (GCSE)
- English Literature (A Level and GCSE)
- Sociology (A Level and GCSE)
- Psychology (A Level and GCSE)

I tailor my lessons to the needs of the individual student. Whether they are a verbal learner, someone who prefers written strategies with colour, or a mix of both - I try to incorporate these methods into the lesson. I also help students achieve their ideal grade at GCSE and A level, with focused and rigorous exam training. This often means I revisit content for revision, allow students to verbalise opinions on what they have learnt, then give them an exam question with tips to improve. Learning is about engaging with the content, getting to grips with it, and making you really think. By allowing the students to voice their thoughts and opinions, it gives them a chance to grow as confident learners. Lastly, my approach emphasises not pressurising the student too much. The lesson will cover content and revision collectively, to ease the students anxieties about revision. If the student is really struggling on a subject area or focus, the lesson will be planned to cover it. The approach is very student-centred, and tracks student improvements to make sure they are becoming the best versions of themselves possible.
