Ruth

I consider myself to be a supportive, creative teacher. I am passionate about music and working with people! I am a reliable, responsible individual with good time management.

I started instrumental teaching and exam accompanying in 1999 and have worked in schools since 2005. I have taught in a variety of settings over the years and have experience working with all ages from beginner to advanced level.
I feel my background as a musician and composer offers a wealth of creative energy to my work. I recognise the benefit of regular performance opportunities and collaborative musical experiences in developing socially confident, enthusiastic and imaginative musicians.
I always encourage my students to compose their own music.
I teach both ABRSM and Trinity exam syllabuses and work as a regular music exam accompanist.
