Teaching experience
Learning a language can be tough, especially when the abundance of vocabulary can feel overwhelming so I like to structure my Spanish lessons mainly through comprehension practice and exam-style questions if the student is preparing for exams. In this instance, I focus on developing exam techniques to cater to the specifications of each exam board. I cater each lesson to the student, building on the topics we have covered in previous lessons.
I also like to spend time on translations, especially those related topics which the student is interested in to spark enthusiasm towards Spanish as a language. I practise speaking and listening. I share songs and videos with my students so as to indulge in the culture and to take learning outside of the usual classroom structure.
Throughout my three years of teaching, I have aimed to help students reach their full potential and inspire them to enjoy their subjects. I am friendly and supportive and my main goal is to help to reduce stress, improve academic skills and answer as many questions as possible!
