My subject of expertise is English. I adapt my teaching style to suit my students. I set clear goals and specific deadlines. I encourage critical thinking and lively discussion and will also guide my students to work on some tasks independently.

I have worked in classrooms for nearly fifteen years. I have been a Learning Support Practitioner, assisting primary and secondary school age students in reading, writing and studying for their GCSE English exams. Since 2013, I have been working as a Behaviour Mentor in an East London secondary school. The role involves running interventions and designing activities to promote learning in classes. I have also been a private English tutor for the past two years. I have and am still tutoring a Year 10 student for his English GCSE exams, a Year 7 student and a Year 5 pupil.
