One of my main passions is to generate enthusiasm for my subjects and inspire all students to work to their potential. I get great satisfaction in seeing students progress by reflecting on their journey from where they first started to where they are now. I feel as if I have contributed to their growth by indulging deeper to find out student’s interests and using that to forge positive relationships and to communicate what I can do to help them grow as a person by identifying their needs and expectations. Throughout my PGCE and ECT years, I have learnt that progress for one child will look very different to that of another, and therefore, you should have different goals for each one of your pupils. My experience in seeing a different side of the students by being a form tutor for Year 7 and 13s as well as being involved in after school revision sessions, online teaching, cricket coaching and school plays has given me even more strength and determination to be fully involved in different contexts to see students’ progress and blossom. Not only are these fundamental attributes that are needed to be involved in the wider schools community but also consolidates all school’s values of a rounded education.
