Hello, my name is Michael!
I am a guitar and bass tutor in London. My tutoring offers a friendly and patient atmosphere, whilst helping you to learn songs you love to listen to.

I have over 15 years of experience in teaching a wide range of styles. To students with varying levels of ability and all age ranges.

Currently, I am a private tutor and also work at an independent day school where I teach children aged 4-11. This work at the school includes teaching simple songs that the children can perform as a group at recitals, throughout the school terms.

When I have beginner students, I start by showing them some simple chords. Plus strumming patterns, before progressing to playing slow and easier tunes. This gives the student a feel for playing a well-known tune with confidence.

Music theory teaching can be introduced at a later stage if the student or the parent desires.

As a tutor I ensure my student are comfortable, making sure to be patient whilst teaching and helping the students progress to achieve their goals.
