I am a teacher and tutor with over 20 years of experience in the Wrexham and Chester area. I have taught and tutored students from Year three to Year eleven and have extensive experience supporting students with Literacy and English, including guiding them through their GCSE exams in Literature and Language.
I have worked with students with a range of abilities and additional learning needs, helping them overcome any barriers to learning that they may have.

Meriel has been a tutor to our two daughters for nearly three years and we would be lost without her. During her time with us she has worked patiently and diligently with them both bringing out their very different strengths, building confidence as well as knowledge and ability for them both in both English and Maths and so much more. She has inspired our elder daughter to enjoy books and reading as well as developing her confidence and strength in maths. She has patiently worked with our younger daughter who has SE needs to build confidence, taking the necessary time to make sure her learning has been properly established rather than rushing on to new things. One of Meriel's many strengths is really getting to understand each individual child's motivations as well as their strengths and areas for development. She works hard to build her relationships with each child and always has great games to make learning fun and enjoyable as well as memorable! We could not recommend Meriel more highly and feel very lucky to have her as a tutor for our girls.
