I teach Criminology A Level to Undergraduate and English KS3 to GCSE, tailoring each lesson to the personal needs of my pupils. My teaching style and approachable nature have helped me develop great relationships with those I support academically.

I qualified as a Teacher through the Teach First Leadership Development Programme and have experience teaching basic English and Maths to pupils up to age 19 at West Lea Special Needs School in North London.

Having qualified in English, I went on to teach KS3 English and GCSE English at Stewards Academy in Harlow. During the lockdown, I taught lessons via the Teams platform for larger classes, as well as tutoring for smaller groups who had additional learning needs.

Most recently I have been teaching the WJEC Criminology Diploma qualification at The Urswick School in Hackney to KS5 pupils. During the first year that the school introduced the subject, I had responsibility for planning and developing the lesson content and Unit assessments. For pupils who required additional support, I had one on one tutoring sessions, focusing on particular areas for development to build their knowledge and confidence ahead of the assessments. I have also moderated for the WJEC exam board so my understanding of the requirements of this particular qualification is extensive. I now tutor Criminology from A-Level through to Undergraduate.

I have also worked within the Crown Court and His Majestys Prison Service, which has given me a deeper understanding of life beyond education, affording me great empathy and compassion.
