I provide high standards tuition in Ancient & Modern Greek. Lessons are designed based on the learners needs and interests. My aim is to always deliver stimulating and rewarding lessons and have happy, confident learners.

I have 30 years’ experience teaching Linguistics, English as a Foreign Language (EFL), Ancient & Modern Greek to all age groups. I am a mother of two living in Surrey, and I currently teach Modern Greek with Surrey County Council. I also offer online tuition to individuals and groups.
Since I was a student at the department of English, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece, I started teaching EFL to children and adolescents. I subsequently graduated with a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Essex and embarked on a PhD in Linguistics (Second Language Acquisition).
During my PhD, I had the opportunity to spend one year at the University of Cambridge, Department of Modern Greek, where I taught Modern Greek Language to undergraduate students of the department.
Since I came to England in 2001, I have been involved in teaching Greek in diverse educational settings, such as the International School of London in Surrey and to all different age and ability groups. I hold a QTS (since 2003) and attended numerous CPD programmes throughout my career.

I use a mixture of traditional and contemporary language teaching methodology (i.e. learner centred, communicative approaches). I help the learners to build good foundations in the core linguistic elements of the language, while providing them with the freedom to experience and consolidate learning through real-life scenarios and games. I incorporate digital platforms and online resources making it more fun and diverse for every age group.
