Marco

My name is Marco Tranchina and I am a pianist and composer in London.

My professional background includes primary school teaching in classes as well as private one-to-one music and piano lessons. I have a BA in Jazz Performance obtained at Middlesex University and an MA in Composing for Film and TV from Kingston University.

I love working with students of any age as I like to challenge myself in providing the key elements for them to master musical knowledge and have fun with it.

I like seeing pupils engaged in the creative process of music making, stretching their imagination, which is often aimed at creating a concrete show/recital at the end of the year.

I have directed small and medium pupil ensembles where the notion of discipline and commitment towards the group is implied. Beside tangible music achievements by the individual student, I have also seen a real bond growing among these musicians in these classes, and as a teacher, I couldn't ask for a better outcome.
