Teaching experience
I began teaching and supervising learning when I worked as a nanny. This included providing support with homework, Kumon, and exam revision, for children and adolescents. After this point, my teaching experience comes mainly from my work with BSc Psychology undergraduate students at Kings College London and University of London, where I am a seminar leader and ad-hoc lecturer for 5+ modules (e.g., biological and cognitive psychology). I have marked >1000 summative coursework submissions from first-, second-, and third-year students. Therefore, I am well equipped to help GSCE, A-Level, and University students better understand what the essay or exam question is asking and to provide a guide on presenting an answer in a clear, structured, and convincing way. Having gained an A* at Psychology A-Level myself, I am able to unpick some of the trickier material with students and to break it down in a way that makes sense for each individual student. Together we can devise ways to commit this information to memory in preparation for exams. As I have supervised two Integrated BSc Medicine students to develop, conduct, and analyse data for their dissertation project, I am able to support more research-focused projects. Lastly, given that I teach international students completing a remote BSc Psychology course, I am confident in producing learning materials for students with varying English language abilities.

TESTIMONIAL
This is a reference from a private student when Lucy joined TeachTutti
Lucy tutored me throughout my Psychology and Biology A-Levels. I found Biology particularly difficult and Lucy was always patient and thoughtful in providing lots of different learning materials for the content I struggled to understand. We practiced writing essays and she taught me the key elements of an essay structure which meant that when I did the exam I didn't waste any time panicking about how to present my answer. Lucy also helped me revise for my biology exams and taught me loads of techniques for remembering the key information, either with a catchy song or trying to visualise a model that we had drawn together. I really recommend Lucy for giving you confidence in your understanding and being able to show that in an exam.
