Regardless of the level of ability of my student, I can help them dramatically improve their playing.
With over 10 years of experience teaching all brass instruments and piano, I am able to tailor my lessons to fit the needs of the students. Throughout my teaching years, I have had great success in helping my students to improve their technique, musicality, practice planning, and mental skills. Whilst also helping students to prepare and enter ABRSM and Trinity grade exams.
I have always ensured my students are comfortable by being friendly and helping to build their confidence.
During my career, I have worked with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, EU Chamber Orchestra, and the City of London Sinfonia.
In addition, I have played with major rock bands including:
- Alter Bridge
- Bring me the Horizon (as part of an orchestra)
- ABC
I am currently a brass tutor for Bromley Youth Music Trust, Hackney Youth Orchestras Trust, and St Ursula's School, Greenwich. As well as teaching the French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, and Piano.

Laurie taught me for over 6 years and was brilliant the entire time, taking me from just beginning French horn to taking several grades.
