I am fully qualified tutor with 22 years of experience, whose subjects are French, Italian, Latin and Classical Greek. I both classes to sit Common Entrance 13 , GCSE and IGCSE, As , A Level and IB and different typology of courses.

I hold an Italian, a French and a British degree and worked both in France and in Italy before moving to London, where, since 2014, I have been living, tutoring students who prepare exams and training adults whose needs and requests are quite heterogeneous.

France, Paris and Montpellier, 1999-2011

Teaching and tutoring in France has been an absolutely precious experience that has allowed me to gain flexibility and awareness of the difficulties that may be associated with such an activity and enabled me to understand what typology of teaching environment is more adapted to my professional personality.

In France , I initially collaborated with some important language schools as an Italian trainer for individual or small groups of adults courses while tutoring teenagers and adults who had different needs . I helped some students prepare exams , improve their level of Latin or Classical Greek, trained some others in preparing public competitions. I fruitfully devoted myself to corporate training. Later I started also teaching in a Secondary Independent school, before becoming an Italian French Public School teacher. Although teaching a large group of students was certainly stimulating, I became clear to me that one- to-one sessions enabling to take care of teenagers individually, in a peaceful learning environment was more suitable for my teaching profile. Therefore I got back to in person sessions and added to this adult groups tutoring in a very exciting Further education context .

Italy , 2011 - 2014

Despite its limited duration, my Italian professional activity was successfully characterized by school tutoring. I helped students in French, Italian and Classics. In addition, I taught the adults who wanted to learn French or improve their French level, generally for their pleasure, and from time to time, for professional reasons.

2014-2022 UK, London

When I started a new exciting teaching adventure in UK, after 15 years of teaching and tutoring career in France and in Italy, I was fully aware of my teaching preferences and resources, therefore I was and I am still glad to focus on helping Secondary schools students prepare French, Latin, and, though less frequently due to a lower demand, Italian and Classical Greek exams along with adult groups or individual training. I am able to teach general and business French and Italian and offer engaging and tailored sessions to all level learners.

TEACHING STYLE

When it comes to supporting students sitting their exams , a thorough knowledge of specifications and examination techniques is certainly paramount but this is not sufficient for students to give their best. Planning formal and informal assessments as well as mock exams at the right time, providing students with updated and varied learning tools, giving feedback to them and their families, weekly or monthly, according to their preferences, giving homework and constantly helping learners get awareness of their difficulties in order to find together a strategy to tackle them, managing their stress level, encouraging students without flattery, being patient and respecting their own personality, involving them in all stages of the learning process, this is what I am glad to offer to learners wanting to perform at their best and what allowed me to do this until now. As per different typologies of teaching, my lessons are tailored made and, obviously, suit the learning style, the pace, the specific requests of each learner, in terms of goals and interests.
