I specialise in teaching English Grammar and Punctuation, Creative Writing, Reading and Comprehension and fostering a love of reading. I also teach 11+, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Science for Primary ages KS1 and KS2.

I have worked in various primary schools for the past 12 years (Private, State and International). I have worked in many roles from tutor to class teacher with children aged 4 - 12. I have spent the last 6 years teaching internationally in Australia, Italy and Armenia.

Whilst teaching in the UK, I have experience supporting children in Year 6 prepare for and exceed expectations for their English and maths SATS examinations. Furthermore, In my role as a Year 5 class teacher, I have prepared multiple students for pre-SATs and Cambridge Primary Assessments - these assessments are made up of English, maths and science tests and are completed under time restrictions.

I use a flexible approach in each lesson, beginning with a fun starter activity and discussing the learning intention and objectives for the lesson, before deepening the understanding of areas we have identified for development.
I love teaching creative curricula using different styles, such as visual or kinesthetic. I know the importance of finding the right style for each child and helping to use that knowledge to further their own learning.
I know the importance of regular feedback with parents to keep them updated about their child’s progress. I combine the dialogue with a parent with my own formative and summative assessments to ensure maximum progress in each lesson.
