I am an English, Maths and violin tutor with a focus on making learning enjoyable for students of all ages. I build a report with students and adapt to the needs of the individual.

I have been teaching both privately and in a school setting (as Head of English) for the last 7 years, with thousands of hours experience. I have taught from aged 5 to adult learners.

Alongside classical violin, I can teach folk songs (reading or by ear), and improvisation, both of which I find can be helpful to help beginners enjoy the instrument. I am also happy to teach for graded exams.

I have experience working with students with dyslexia and autism and can adapt my approach to the needs of the individual - one of the benefits of one-to-one tuition.

In Maths and English, I work with parents to help them understand what will help their child progress, and provide regular feedback and advice.

Playfulness and games underpins my approach to lessons - I believe we all naturally love to learn, and lessons should bring this out, rather than suppress it.
