Kathleen

My name is Kat and I teach primary school students English and Maths. I am a very patient, caring and dedicated teacher with the focus of my students achieving their objectives by helping build their confidence and encouraging them with praise.

I was a supply teacher for one year in schools across London. I did a temporary full-time role at St. Marys CE in Hornsey teaching Year 1 and planned lessons based around the National Curriculum. In 2019, I was a governess for two boys aged 10 and 8 and my goal was to help them with their homework and prepare for tests and exams. I also have experience in helping prepare students for the English 11+.

My teaching style is very goal-directed and student-centred. I always make sure my students know their learning objectives and get them to assess whether they have achieved them. Im a big believer in students taking ownership of their learning so I make sure that they can feel proud of what they have achieved but also be aware of their own challenges and what they need to work on.
