At this point, I have perhaps 200-300 hours of tutoring experience. I have tutored at the students house, at my house, and online. Ive taught 15-20 different clients over the years, of all different levels, from 11+ preparation up to A-Level and adult learners.
My approach varies slightly from student to student depending on their ability and confidence levels. Assessing current levels and gaps in knowledge is a good starting point. If a student isn too confident, I can help them realise success and prove to them that they can do it! It just takes time and effort. With more advanced students, I try to ask them more challenging questions to deepen their curiosity and understanding of the topic.
