I teach Mathematics; tutoring high school children in years 7 to 11, up to GCSE. Currently I tutor on line, using Zoom.
I am a fully qualified Mathematics teacher. I obtained a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Essex in 1986 and a PGCE in Maths from the Open University in 2005. I obtained my Qualified Teacher Status from teaching at the Chauncy school in Ware, Hertfordshire in 2005 .
I have tutored maths for over 15 years; many of my students have improved on their predicted grade and many have achieved an A grade at GCSE.
When I tutor, I check the student’s current knowledge by asking them how to do certain tasks. Once we have discovered and worked on any weak areas, we can make progress to their desired outcome.
To get an idea of my approach, you can see that I have written four mathematics books (key stage 3 level) which are currently available on Amazon (search for ‘Jacqueline Biggs’).

Jackie has tutored both my daughters in Maths GCSE. She is a very approachable, patient and friendly tutor who gave a great deal of support particularly to my older daughter who found some aspects of the course quite challenging.
