Originally from Australia, I am a professional flautist and flute teacher. I graduated in 2014 from the Royal College of Music with a Master of Performance.
Over the past 7 years, I have taught students of all ages. I have taught flute across all levels and taught music theory up to grade five. I also have experience in teaching the recorder, to several students.
I have taught privately and in schools, the latter including tutoring groups of up to 15 students. I have also taught as part of the youth orchestra programme and outreach workshops with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
I have had a number of students sit ABRSM exams who have achieved a mark of high merit to distinction. My students have also been awarded prizes at the prestigious Urdd National Eisteddfod in Wales and at the Beckenham Festival.
I aim to make lessons fun and inspiring for all students so that they can grow and develop on the instrument at their own pace. Whether this is on the flute, recorder, or piccolo. I am happy to prepare students for exams, for concerts, or just for fun. I always tailor my lessons around the individual student's personality and abilities.
