Teaching experience
I have 5 years of tutoring experience and have taught students covering a wide range of ages, from KS1 level all the way up to A-level, in both one-to-one lessons and group sessions. I also have experience supporting students in preparation for their entrance exams for several British Public Schools, including Benenden School and Harrow school.
My teaching method for GCSE & A-level subjects focuses on effectively learning a large amount of content and then applying the learned knowledge to exam-styled questions.
My classes are therefore largely based on practicing past exam papers by approaching each topic separately and thoroughly.
For SAT, 11+, and 13+ teaching I enjoy leading group and one-to-one sessions to teach my students practical strategies to tackle the most difficult questions under strictly timed conditions.

TESTIMONIAL
This is a reference from a private student when Gaia joined TeachTutti
Following difficulties with A-level chemistry and maths and having already worked with other private teachers (with little success) I began taking private lessons with Gaia Oldfield. The lessons always lasted about two hours and we had regular online meetings, even more than once a week, for a total of 40 hours of work overall. She turned out to always be very helpful and flexible in fact, when I had setbacks or delays, we were always able to reschedule or move the lessons, and in difficult situations she was always patient and willing to re-explain a topic using different methods. I noticed improvements from the very first lessons, but the most important thing for me was going from achieving C grades in both math and chemistry to getting an A in both subjects. She was also kindly available after the lesson when I needed help finish pending assignments and in tackling particularly challenging tasks. To conclude, I can safely say that Gaia Oldfield was very professional and helped me a lot in improving my grades.
