Teaching experience
I am currently tutoring international students, in the skills required to gain entry into prestigious UK private schools by tutoring (GCSE and CE level) maths and non-verbal reasoning. But I am looking to make a bigger impact by building my own independent student base at the same time.
Outside of that, I built up teaching experience by first tutoring peers and younger years throughout GCSE and A-levels, serving as a teaching assistant at Imperial and also leading the training of multiple new starters in his current role as an Energy Market Analyst.
Depending on what is preferred, I can be hands off and just help pupils with their homework or pending issues, or I can provide a longer-term relationship with structured plans and targets. The latter is recommended for the best results:
• In the introductory session, I will break down the syllabus with my tutee and first see what they are most in need of development.
• From there on I will then formulate a plan by breaking down said points of development into basic concepts and then provide basic questions/problems for the tutee to address, and then tackle exam-style questions.
• I will also provide learning material along the way. (Maths has less rote learning than other subjects, but still has some! Formulae and rules mostly)
• Further along in the tutoring journey and closer towards exams I will help my tutee execute mock papers as a whole.
Maths might be difficult to execute but easy to conceptualise and compartmentalise. Address your weaknesses and we can have a better mathematician holistically.
I use the ClassIn app to teach remotely for my agency (it takes less than 5 minutes to download and register).
Alternatively, I also teach on MS Teams/Zoom with a screenshare, using miro.com as my whiteboard.
I also provide material on Brainscapes, which you need to open an account to use, but it is also easy to set up.

TESTIMONIAL
This is a reference from a private student when Eugene joined TeachTutti
Eugene has tutored our daughter in Maths for a few weeks now. He is very knowledgable, approachable and is always professional, he has covered the syllabus in a comprehensive and detailed manner and is happy to tailor his teaching to areas of the specification that require more support. Eugene provides his own online revision cards that helped my daughter understand the topic areas at her own pace without fear of intimidation. We thank you Eugene!
