Teaching experience
Over the years, I have accumulated a wealth of teaching experience in a variety of settings and across diverse subject areas. My teaching journey began informally, while I was still navigating my own education, as I helped my peers grasp complex concepts and found great fulfillment in their successes. This initial spark ignited my interest in education and my passion for helping others thrive academically.
I have spent countless hours as a tutor, providing one-on-one support to students from various age groups and educational backgrounds. I have honed my teaching style to be flexible, responsive, and personalized to each students unique needs and interests. From GCSE, A-Level to BTEC Art and Design curriculums, I have guided students through comprehensive course material, offering tailored support in both theory and practical aspects of the subject. I have also supported university-level students in preparing for their coursework and dissertations, helping them conceptualize and articulate their ideas effectively.
At Augsburg University in Germany, I experienced a different educational approach during my semester studying Kommunikations Design. This opportunity enriched my teaching philosophy, incorporating international perspectives and approaches into my methodology.
As a freelance designer, I have led workshops and seminars exploring the intersection of art, design, technology, and philosophy. Ive guided participants through the creative process, fostering an environment of exploration and discovery. My professional experience has allowed me to bring real-world applications into the classroom, helping students to connect theory to practice and understand the relevance of their learning to the broader world.
As a Masters graduate I look forward to a potential PhD and PGCE, I am actively engaged in higher education teaching, delivering workshops, and supervising projects. I'm particularly passionate about mentoring students through their creative journeys, fostering an environment of mutual learning and growth.
Throughout all of my teaching experiences, I have remained committed to making learning an engaging, exciting, and inclusive process. Whether its integrating regular breaks to maintain attention, pivoting topics to keep lessons fresh, or structuring classes around a students specific needs, my ultimate aim is to create a learning space where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired.
