I am an experienced tutor. My students have always exceeded their expectations and this, as a teacher, is the best reward. I feel it is very important to ignite enthusiasm in learners and get them to believe in their own ability to succeed.

I have been teaching mathematics for 30 years and I am very passionate about what I do. I worked in the same secondary school for 15 years where my role was second in the maths department in charge of KS3. I then moved onto a sixth form college to gain more A level experience, here I was lecturer in charge of GCSE resit. More recently I have been teaching GCSE and Functional Skills both for an online school and in a Further Education College. Currently I work online. This involves tutoring pupils in mathematics at KS3 and KS4. I feel it is very important to be up-to-date with current syllabi and be well prepared for lessons, this makes them more engaging and appropriate for the learner. It is very rewarding to see students partake happily in lessons and watch them progress.
