Teaching experience
I have worked as an English, Politics and History tutor since 2018 across multiple education agencies and services.
Typically most of my students are in primary and secondary education. However, I have had a significant minority who are in tertiary education. I specialise in SATs, GCSEs, and A-Levels.
Thus far, I have never had a student fail to obtain the grade we aimed for - more often than not achieving beyond our target! As aforementioned, I despise the traditional teaching style of reading off a whiteboard and lecturing to my students. Therefore, I strive to make my lessons as engaging and tailored to each individual student as I can.

David has been an exceptional English tutor for my daughter since year 9. He has a great deal of knowledge on the subject and is a very skilled tutor. She is now starting year 11, and goes into her GCSEs with a high level of confidence and great predicted grades. He has gone above and beyond to make sure that she is well prepared. He has taken a keen interest is her progress and really gone the extra mile to ensure that she is getting the right level of support with her studies, even when it comes to school work. He has always engaged with us as parents, and has kept us up to date with regular feedback. Our daughter is shy and reserved, but David's friendly and approachable manner has enabled them to build a great rapport and excellent level of trust, which is vital for tuition to succeed. She has become articulate, both in written and verbal English, and she has even developed excellent ability in public speaking. These skills are invaluable as she progresses through her studies and into working life, and I would say that investing in English tutoring with David has been very worthwhile for us.
