Hi! I'm a maths tutor with a 1st class degree from Imperial College London. I believe that inside every big book is a little book. I offer intuition in a precise way, walking between the two to do Maths and solve some nice problems along the way.

Ive tutored on and off in the US and UK since 2015, with >300 recorded hours of teaching kids from as young as 6, to 18 yr olds preparing for the MAT and Further Maths exams. Currently, I teach GCSE/A-level, however, I am happy to discuss teaching outside those ranges.

My teaching approach is as follows. Generally, a topic or choice of query for my lessons is negotiated before the session. I spend time developing the ideas the questions revolve around during the lesson; offering a mix of interesting yet applicable examples, and specific questions that pinpoint the root of the topic, and if applicable, go deeper by asking the right next questions. I take a very keen note of student confidence and enthusiasm throughout the lessons making sure that they are afloat. Over time, this mix of consistent confidence, precise yet associative problem internalisation, and the doing of questions, some more lateral than others gets the student to be able to monkey around the maths, and not only score well but also to remember the ideas without much memorisation.
