I tutor Maths at all levels up to and including A-Level. I work collaboratively with students, helping them to articulate their learning goals and making those goals the focus of our work. I love tutoring and seeing students develop, as they do.

I started tutoring for a family friend in 2014, which was home-based. Not long after that I started tutoring GCSE Maths at the school I attended, which enhanced my skills and teaching techniques and gave me the confidence to take my tutoring commitment to the next level.

My tutoring experience has mainly been with students between 11 and 16 years old and it is with that group that I think I can offer most value, although I am open to teaching at all levels up to and including A-Level and I know the A-Level curriculum extremely well.

I focus my teaching on the student's goals, building on their strengths and identifying the areas that we can improve with concentrated attention.

I develop their learning of the core concepts before consolidating their understanding through problem solving examples - often using exam questions to test out their understanding. Practice makes perfect, so I will build on this knowledge through further exercises until the student has fully grasped the subject.

I can adopt this approach over a longer term learning relationship, often to support school/college-based learning. However I can also offer short term revision like work to help students prepare for national exams, entrance exams or other challenges.
