Callum

I am a Masters MSci, 2:1 graduate in Physics with Astrophysics and Cosmology from Kings College London.

I conducted extensive research into techniques of Physics and general STEM education during my final year. Throughout the degree, I took many opportunities to focus on the art of science communication, including modules that improved my skills in this discipline.

During my education, I always improved my understanding of a subject when asked to explain it to others. I found presentations and taking in-person questions on the content to be a highlight of any course and a time in which I felt I was truly learning. As part of my degree, I undertook several modules involving science communication and the art of STEM/Physics education.

I believe that teaching should be layered, the simplest core of a concept should be grasped before its consequences/outer layers can be incorporated into questions. Doing this all at once is so often the cause of struggles in understanding which I hope to help students overcome.
