Teaching experience
I am a University of Bath Mechanical Engineering graduate, and have tutored Maths and Physics online for over 6 years full time, completing over 4000 hours, consistently raising the grades of all my tutees, some by up to 5 grades throughout their tuition with me which I’m immensely proud of! Whilst I also spent 15 months in the industry as a Design & Testing Engineering Intern for a multinational engineering company, the majority of modules throughout my education revolved around the theory and application of both Maths and Physics, something I am very passionate about, putting me in a great position to help the next generation!
All of my tutoring has been online, so I am very experienced in maximising the potential of online whiteboards and online teaching methods, to maximise my student's engagement. My tutorials revolve around 3 main areas of focus; theory, practice and revision. The structure of all lessons is therefore tailored to each student, to efficiently provide help wherever it is needed. With all subjects, understanding the fundamental theory is most important, for which I take a very discussion-based approach, something not possible in a full classroom. I then aim to cement that knowledge and theory through practice questions, from a wide range of worksheets, textbooks, revision and exam questions, and other sources all of which I have collated over many years.
“Practice Practice Practice” has always been my motto; if practice questions have been completed on every aspect of a topic, then come exam day the element of surprise has been removed! To do this, my key to all tutorials is establishing areas of improvement from the get-go and continuously throughout, through various means of assessment I have tried and tested over the years to ensure every student meets their goals! I am always open to any questions in my lessons and believe my experience ensures each student is as prepared as possible and no stone goes unturned. Engagement is paramount to delivering my tutorials as best I can, so I use the online whiteboard to be as interactive and dynamic as possible.

TESTIMONIAL
This is a reference from a private student when Axel joined TeachTutti
This is the second time we have used Axel to help with GCSE Maths. My older son achieved a Grade 9 IGCSE and an A in Further Maths with Axel's continued help and expertise. I was so impressed with Axel that he is now helping my younger son with the same exams 3 years later ! Axel plans his lessons well and thinks about how he can focus on the most important areas with each student. I highly recommend him!
