Antonia Berg is studying a Bachelors in Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, majoring in Flute Performance.
Antonia began her studies on the piano in 1999. The following year she joined the Sydney Conservatorium of Music's Open Academy program, continuing there until she started at the Conservatorium High School, through which she completed her Higher School Certificate receiving the top band in all subjects, and a perfect mark in Music Extension. Antonia started to study the flute with Jocelyn Edey-Fazzone in 2005. She has continued with both flute and piano, and was awarded her AMusA in piano and AMusA with Distinction in Flute in 2010. In 2011 she was awarded her LMusA with Distinction in Flute, and completed the Music 2 HSC Course in an accelerated program.
Antonia has performed in a number of masterclasses with teachers and performers such as Aldo Baerten, Michael Cox, Susan Milan, Simon Channing and Emma Sholl. She has competed with success in Eisteddfods around Sydney, winning championship sections of the NSW Flute Society Eisteddfod, Sydney Eisteddfod, and she was a finalist at the Australian Flute Festival's Young Artists Competition. Antonia was Principal flute in the Sydney Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, and has been a member of Sydney Youth Orchestra's ensembles since 2010. She has participated in tours overseas and to regional NSW with Sydney Youth Orchestra and the Conservatorium High School. She has been broadcast through the 2MBS-FM Younger Performers program, Fine Music Young Virtuosi program as a semi-finalist, and has performed at the Sydney Opera House as part of the Board of Studies ENCORE concert.
