Alfred

Alfred graduated from the University of Oxford with a First-Class BA in Human Sciences after 4 A stars and 1 A at A-Level. Beyond aiming for hard work and achieving your best, Alfred centres kindness and confidence at the heart of his teaching style.

My previous teaching experiences comes from two main streams: my year and a half as a tutor with an education platform and my three years with the St Johns College Access and Admissions Office.

I have completed 1000+ hours of tutoring across a range of subjects from KS2 to A-Level. For A-Level tutoring, I specialise in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, English Lang/Lit, Sociology, Psychology and Spanish.

I particularly enjoy catering my teaching approach to complement the learning style of the students, ensuring to build their confidence and curiosity around their subject. During my work with the Access and Admissions Office of St Johns College, I developed a detailed and holistic understanding of the admissions system and how to prepare a powerful application.

Inspiring a range of ages and backgrounds to engage with their potential as Oxbridge students was my favourite part of the job, and I delivered many lectures and mock tutorials during my time there. Specialising in personal statements, admissions tests (particularly the TSA), and interview preparation, I am excited to encourage independent, critical thinking and confidence in my students.
