Experience and adaptable saxophone teacher. I have taught various ages, and abilities from beginner to professional. I can provide excellent tuition for students who need to prepare for exams or auditions.

Saxophone Tutor, in Southwark, London

I am a visiting Jazz saxophone tutor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Plus, I have taught at the Junior Royal Academy of Music.

In these roles, I teach high-level jazz improvisation and composition. However, I am not limited to teaching at such a high level - I frequently teach all standards, including total beginners, right through the professionals.

Since graduating 6 years ago I have been regularly teaching private students of all ages and levels and in a variety of styles. I have a 100 percent pass rate for ABRSM exams Grade 1-8 and Jazz exams. Other students not wishing to take exams have forged a more personal course of learning, for example preparing for music college auditions.

I was recently a featured tutor on the ACE foundation jazz day with Alan Barnes in Cambridge and am involved in many similar educational projects, including working for the Triborough Music Hub. My teaching experience includes working as a peripatetic teacher in St Pauls Primary in Cambridge and Normanhurst middle school in Chingford. I have also worked with larger ensembles: I have led workshops for and coached and directed the Hills Road Jazz Orchestra in Cambridge.

For each of my students, I cater to their individual needs and goals, whilst taking into account their abilities, whilst ensuring they're also having fun!
