My approach involves asking the student what they are struggling with and going through the content in the first part of the lesson. I then give them past paper questions, which I believe is crucial to solidify the knowledge.

I began tutoring when I was 15 - I used to attend Kumon as a student and was offered a job due to my proficient ability in Mathematics. This continued into other job roles at Amazikids and MyTutor as I was able to progress my tutoring into an older age range of 12-18 as the job at Kumon was targeted at a 7-11 age range.

I always emphasise past paper questions to my students as a way of understanding and grasping a concept on an advanced level. Depending on how close the student is to their GCSEs/A-Levels, I would work on a past paper and as homework task them to finish it where I can mark it and give feedback.

I try to build a friendly environment with my students in a way where they do the work I set but at there own pace and they do not feel afraid to ask questions if need be.
