As a successful student at the GCSE level achieving nine Grade 9s-8s, I understand and am fully aware of what every student should be doing to attain grades amongst the highest-achieving GCSE students in the country. Lets conquer GCSE Maths!

My work is heavily focused on exam technique and how to tackle questions effectively in timed conditions. I help develop and master the students understanding of the topic so that they can find it easy to apply when completing exam questions.

When it comes to teaching exam techniques, I walk through the exam questions with my student, letting them attempt the question, while I watch and analyse their methods and how effective they are. Once they have tried, I will constructively advise them and compliment their technique where it is due.

However, theres always room for improvement!

Therefore, the student and I will do a similar question together, and they will be able to familiarise themself with my technique, which can easily be applied in future situations. Once this is consolidated, the student is fully equipped for any question that will come their way in the actual exams.

If there are misconceptions in the understanding of content, then I always aim to break the topic down to make it as digestible as possible, so that even a 5 year old child would be able to comprehend what the topic entails. Once the student has mastered the topic, they will be able to see an instantaneous positive impact on their results.
