Rating the punctuality of tutor invoices

Invoices are marked on their punctuality. Prompt invoicing is an expected of tutors and is a criteria for becoming a Toptutor.

The student is notified each time a tutor claims for a lesson. Prompt invoicing ensures the student is billed for each lesson on time and that tutors are paid on time (see Terms and Conditions). Punctual invoicing is also one of the criteria used by TeachTutti to decide whether Toptutor status can be added to your profile.

Every invoice is rated on when it was received relative to the lesson date. The overall rating is calculated from the rating for each invoice.

The rating breakdown is:

• "On the day"
• "1 day late"
• "2 days late"
• "3 days late"
• "4 days late"
• "5+ days late"

If the overall rating is "5 days late" for an extended duration, TeachTutti will contact the tutor to discuss how to improve this. If the rating fails to improve, TeachTutti will then introduce a penalty, including suspension from the search page.
