Common questions
When you make a booking request, we will contact your tutor to ask if they accept the booking. The tutor is given 48 hours to reply: if we don't hear after this time, the booking is cancelled and you will not be charged.
It's possible the tutor may be unavailable to teach you at the booking date. In this situation, the tutor will send you updated availability for you to select a new lesson date.
If the booking is accepted, the lesson will be confirmed and you will be emailed. A reminder will be sent one hour before the lesson starts. The payment will not be billed until the lesson takes place.

When you have completed your lesson, you can choose to continue lessons with your tutor. If you're happy to continue tuition, a recurring four lesson block will be billed in 48 hours. These lessons can be taken at any time and don't need to be weekly (for example, you won't lose a lesson if you go on holiday). Lessons are only deducted from the block when your tutor invoices for a completed lesson and you will be notified by email. When all lessons are taken, the next block will be automatically billed.
If you don't want to continue lessons, you can cancel from the TeachTutti email or on the booking page. We will cancel regular and notify your tutor. You will also be refunded in full for the first lesson.
Your ongoing booking with a tutor has a default lesson length (30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes) and lesson location (online, student home, tutor home). You can change these details for any particular lesson e.g. if you normally have in-person lessons and need to have an online lesson, or if you have a longer lesson length due to an approaching examination.
The tutor will adjust their invoice for this particular lesson. Please note that a tutor will normally charge different rates depending on the lesson details. For example, a tutor typically charges more for longer lessons and when they are required to travel for tuition. This means the cost of an altered lesson may be different. If the price is higher than your default booking, you will be billed the additional fee when the tutor invoices. If the price is lower than your default booking, this amount will be deducted from your next block. You will be notified by email when this happens.
If you want to change the default booking details, please update your booking or get in touch and we will make the change on your behalf.
